Professor Luisa de Cola has been honored with the inaugural Nitti-Casassas Award 2025, awarded by the Societat Catalana de Química (SCQ).

Established in 2025 through a partnership between the SCI and SCQ, this award recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of chemistry, highlighting individuals who have made significant scientific contributions and demonstrated distinguished professional leadership.

Prof. de Cola received the prize in recognition of her exceptional research accomplishments and her prominent international role within the contemporary chemistry community.

The award ceremony will take place on June 26 in the elegant setting of the Pere i Joan Coromines Hall at the Institut d’Estudis Catalans (IEC) in Barcelona.
