This morning, during the opening ceremony of the 35th National Symposium in Chemistry of the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), Gianluca Farinola, President of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding between SCI and CRSI.
The two presidents – Farinola and Uday Maitra – jointly presented the signed document, formally marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration between the two chemical societies. Among other initiatives, the agreement includes the establishment of a bilateral lectureship program.
“Our commitment to cooperating with the Chemical Research Society of India is essential in times of profound change, health crises, and climate challenges. Chemistry must be able to connect people, institutions, and visions in order to address global problems and foster shared innovation,” commented President Farinola following the signing.
With this agreement, the Italian Chemical Society continues to strengthen its role in the international scientific dialogue, promoting exchange, visibility, and co-creation among leading voices in global chemistry.
