we cordially invite you to participate to 15th International Symposium “Activation of Dioxygen and Homogeneous Catalytic Oxidation“ (ADHOC 2024) in San Servolo Island, Italy, Jun 30th -Jul 3rd, 2024.
ADHOC is the internationally leading conference on the activation of molecular oxygen towards substrate oxidation, and on homogeneous oxidation catalysis in general. New catalysts, new oxidants, new methods for catalytic oxidation, ranging from bleaching to the stereoselective oxy-functionalization of valuable synthetic intermediates, new mechanistic insights into oxidative processes, and many other subjects related to oxidation are typical topics for ADHOC conferences.

We want to remind to you all that this edition marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of
Professor Giorgio Modena, March 15th 1924, the founder of Physical Organic Chemistry in Italy,
and Chair of the first ADHOC meeting in Padova in 1984.

The meeting will start on Sunday June 30th with a Special Opening lecture delivered by Prof. Maurizio Prato, from CIC Biomagune (Spain), to celebrate prof. Giorgio Modena Legacy. The panel of plenary and invited speakers is outstanding, and we have now the honor to announce that Plenary Lectures will be given by Prof. Serena DeBeer from Max Planck Institute, Prof. Oxana Kholdeeva from Boreskov Institute of Catalysis, Prof. Miquel Costas from Girona University, and prof. Daniel Nocera from Harvard University. Furthermore, we will have the pleasure to host Prof. Gabriele Centi (Università di Messina and European Research Institute of Catalysis) for a Keynote Lecture on Industrial Oxidation Catalysis. <>
We would like to inform you that the early registration deadline is approaching (April 30th 2024).
In addition, for young researchers (under 35) and for PhD students (SCI-members, affiliated to DCO and/or GIC), Organic Chemistry Division and Catalysis Interdivisional group offer four fellowships for participation to ADHOC24, to cover registration fees, upon presentation of an abstract for oral communication (check the website for details).

Please remember, the deadline for abstracts submission for oral/poster communication is March 31st.

A certain number of rooms have been reserved in San Servolo for ADHOC 2024 participants. If interested, please visit the website for additional information. To note, accommodation in San Servolo Island cannot be guaranteed after 31st March 2024.
